Why We Don’t Act

March 28, 2012 Leave a comment

Most of the time we are champions in believing but specialists in failure, as a result we understand the problems better than the solutions and in the end we never act.

Problem Definition
The definition that you attribute to something derives meaning to your life. It’s easy to see that humans are specialists in defining the problem, sometimes it’s the only we seem to know. Whether its politics or business most people get ahead in life simply by stating the problems that other people have then they call it competition, or in some cases we state the problem and we attribute that to be the reason why we cannot achieve something or attempt anything. What we normally do not understand is that there is no such thing as a problem in the sense that we define problems. What actually exists, are doors that need to be opened. We then think the effort of opening those doors is the definition of problem. Instead of seeing the door we define the door as an obstacle in our way yet it’s the solution to entering into what you want. For example if a person wants to start a business, not having capital is not a problem, it is the door that open the business. Instead of focusing on not being able to open the door we should focus on how to open the door.

Values
What you value the most defines what you are prepared to do in order to get mileage in life. The word focus simply defines how we concentrate on what we value. Until something becomes important or an emergency most people will not pursue it. People will say things like I work better under pressure which is a lie, the actual truth is that they did not value the objective at the previous time and only when it is at the last moment do they realize the value of what they want. So in most cases the things that become important to people can only become important when they are scarce, its an emergency or they have no other choice that is when the value goes up. Before any of these conditions are actually fulfilled, most people will just sit and wait. So consequently most people do not act on their dreams because the vision has not attained value to them as yet, they still have too many choices. The people that get ahead in life are able to understand value in the absence of emergencies, scarcities or even realized importance.

Fear
Fear is overrated and underrated. Fear exists as the consequence of the absence of security. Where there is no security most people will not act or where their lives or livelihood is threatened most people will rather not act. In all this fear is the biggest door to opportunity but most people will never open the door. It is the bridge that stand between prosperity and poverty but how many are willing to cross it, only one percent of the earth actually understand that. Fear can be conquered by simply working on the solution. Once one has the solution then fear is an open door of success. Where there was nothing a city can be built the moment fear is defeated.
Because We Can
In the end the reason why we do not act is because we have the ability not to act. In other words we do not act because we choose not to act, we always have that choice and we take it because we can. We should never give ourselves that choice not to pursue our dreams. The fervent prayer is answered, men ought to pray all the time, consistency breeds constancy; these are all sayings that promote the very fact that we must never stop to act. We must do what it takes but wisely. Sometimes we are able to leap over mountains but in some cases we need to climb the ladders step by step.

We are champions in believing but we can also be in champions in acting.

The One Percent that Plants When it Rains on the Good and the Evil

March 23, 2012 Leave a comment

It rains on the good and the evil but only the wise actually plant to reap a harvest.

Great Talkers
Most people don’t understand that you can have a hundreds of hectares of land and if all you do is say I am going to plant a great harvest nothing will happen until you actually get tools and start planting the seeds. So most people are like the farmer who stands and declares that he will plant a great harvest. The farmer declares throughout the season, the rain comes and goes but nothing is ever planted and no harvest ever harvested. Humans are blessed with words in hundreds of languages. Most of the words are actions words which should inspire us to greatness but in most times we select the doom and gloom of darker words. At the same time we talk and have no action. Some animals are better because they don’t talk but they act to survive, whilst humans try to talk their way into pity and petty visions. So the one percent will stand in front of the field whilst holding the seed, declares that they will plant a great harvest, starts to plant but still talking, after all it rains on the good and the evil.

Same Habits Same Stupidity
A crowd can murder, save life, destroy, manipulate, injure or develop life but in most cases crowds are normally just a desert, nothing grows there. The more you subscribe to the crowd mentality the more you will achieve nothing. Crowds like to watch whilst the one percent creates what the crowd should watch. Crowds like to eat in masses whilst the one percent creates the recipe, crowds like to cheer the team whilst the one percent owns the team, crowds like to complain while the one percent finds solutions, crowds like to work in masses whilst the one percent creates the work, crowds like to pray only whilst the one percent prays with faith, crowds like to sell things whilst the one percent manufactures the products to be sold. If you ever wonder why you are not in the one percent the answer is easy, when it rains on the good and the evil the one percent don’t move in the same habits as everyone.

Timing
If you are late to work two times out of five days in a week and four times out of every one month then you have no chance in ever making it in business. The early bird catches the worm in the same way that the early rain defines the first growth. The earlier you start something the more time you have to learn and adjust to the different occurrences in the seasons. The later you start the less time you learn and the less time you have to correct the mistakes. It’s not that the big companies are big, it’s just that they have had more time to learn how to be big. People who cannot keep their word, keep their time, meet deadlines, and be dependable cannot be successful farmers. The rain falls in specific amounts at specific times, if you understand the timing of the rain you will reap greater harvests just as the one percent has learnt to do, after all it rains on the good and the evil.

The Discipline of Vision
Don’t be offended but if you cannot see four steps ahead of your first action please stay in the crowd you will be safer and you do not belong in the one percent. Most people only see their current step and can only envision their second step which is usually equal to their first step. The reason why people are always in routines and careers is because they only see the first step and the second step which is equal to the first step. Those who succeed in business understand that they prepare the field, plant the seed, tend the crops and reap the harvest. They can see beyond just planting, whilst those that do not belong to the one percent, see the seed and see the planting, which is the same as seeing the seed, after that they leave it to nature but fail to realize that they are also part of nature. By human nature we only step on what we can see, if we cannot see it we never step on it. The discipline of vision is simply, see beyond your first four steps and you will be able to put your foot at least four steps into the future, after all it rains on the good and the evil.

Final Magic Words
There are no magic words in success there is just the implementation of simply words. Words are simply but most of us assign them complicated meaning. Invest is a simply word, so is consistent, so is time, so is wisdom, so is clever, so is sacrifice, so is discipline, so is planning, so is budgeting, so is communicate, so is action, so is write, so is read and so is success. Most people read great books written by great people hoping to find that one word that will define how they can act in life to be successful. Instead of finding that one word they get inspired just by the thought of inspiration itself and forget that words are simple and exist to describe something. It not the word that creates an action it’s the actions that creates the words. Words exist because action exists. Without action words are meaningless. If you are looking for magic words you might as well look for life in death.

If you want to belong to the one percent just remember this, it rains on the good and the evil.

How to Create your Seasons

March 8, 2012 Leave a comment

When it rains, a fool will complain about the rain, an ordinary man will buy an umbrella but the clever man will manufacture the umbrella and sell it to both.

Understanding Seasons
Dominos are small little things that you place on the ground in line close to each other such that when one falls over the next one it causes the next one to fall. We don’t normally notice it but we are surrounded by so many dominos such that we think our lives just fall into place yet there are many variables that cause that. It could be our friends, our jobs, the weather, or simply time. A season is a specific moment when certain events occur in a particular way or certain events are absent such that they create opportunities for other things to occur. A season is thus a set of dominos lined up to fall in a certain direction. For example summer is what it is because the sun and the earth achieve a particular alignment which makes it possible for certain plants to grow, rain to occur in some parts of the work, and increases in temperature amongst other things. Each season needs the starting domino and the dominos must be placed in such a way that the distance between them makes it possible for each to touch when they fall. A successful domino fall is only achieved when the dominos are placed in perfect positions and the first domino can cause all the other dominos lined up to fall. If this does not happen then the season is not complete. The dominos on the other hand must have the right size and the right quality and quantity in order to cover the required distance otherwise they will fall short of the target.

How to Create Your Seasons
For every season there is one domino that starts off the season. For summer it could be said it is the alignment with the sun, for politics it could be a failing economy, for friendship it could be the helping hand, for a relationship it could be the sudden kiss, for business it could be the absence of a product, in all these there is the starting domino. However most people miss the seasons because they do not know what the end domino is. In other words they start relationships but they do not know how it must end, they start a business but have no vision to its greatness. Some people usually having the starting domino but do not have the other dominos lined up. It is like someone who starts a business and has a lot of capital. They open the business but have no idea how to manage the day to day activities and the end of the month processes, eventually the business fails. Some people leave their countries in reaction to their home country economic conditions but have no idea what their objective is.

Making the Season Work
When dominos are lined up they must fall over each other in their lined up direction in order to reach their destination. For most people’s dreams their dominos fail to reach their target because there is too much space between two dominos. They start something but have no clue when they must move to the next level, they are always stuck in the same place. Their season never ends, they are always in poverty or in a struggle with life. For other people they use the wrong dominos, they set up the perfect distances but some dominos instead of falling in the aligned direction they miss the next target. It is like partners who start a business and the other instead of following the vision disappears to start their own company in the middle of the growth of the original company leaving the other partners stranded. In other cases people take the wrong number of dominos which do not cover the right distance or are too short in size. They believe in building a house but lack the right amount of money to build the right house so they are stuck with a cottage for the rest of their lives. In some case people ignore their dominos forgetting that in some cases they need to adjust so that they reach their target.

Anyone Create A Season and Prosper
The funny thing about life is we don’t notice it but everyday we are either creating a season or participating in a season. The relationship you get into is a season you create, the life you live is a season you participate in because it does have an end. Every season has a beginning and an end. For everything that exists today there is a seasons for it. No matter what you think of, it has a season, if it has a season, then it has a beginning and an end. You can control some seasons and you can manufacture some seasons. Examples of created seasons include, the computer age, the Blockbuster summer Hollywood season, the political season, the day time TV viewing season, the sports seasons, your career, your family, your relationships, your phone calls, your business, your house, your car, your time to eat, your sadness, your love , and your life. The bible speaks of sons of Issachar who understood the times. They knew the signs and hence would know what needs to be done.

Look out in the window, do you see the clouds and the people or do you see clouds that can be seeded to produce the rain and people that can be clients to your business. Do you see winter or do you see the perfect weather for a winter clothing line, do you see land or do you see farming areas, do you see people without jobs or do you see potential employees. Your season is there for you to take or not to take. To see the signs and learn how to make the dominos fall. Lets discuss your seasons, don’t be shy about it
